JOSEPH MAIDA & KATIE MURRAY first collaborated in the summer of 2010 with their curated exhibition, HOUSED, at the Alice Austen House Museum. This show, which was accompanied by a critical essay by curator, Susan Bright, was positively reviewed by ArtForum. Maida and Murray are both graduates of Yale University and have exhibited their work at venues including the International Center of Photography, The Bronx Museum, the Queens Museum, the Yale Art Gallery, and World Class Boxing. Maida and Murray’s work has also been featured and reviewed in the New Yorker Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, W Magazine, Wallpaper, Art + Auction, The Village Voice, and PDN. Both artists live and work in New York City.
